Ralf Rangnick is the interim manager for Manchester United until the end of the season!
This was disclosed in a press release on the official website of the football club.
Last week, United and Lokomotiv Moscow agreed to release Rangnick, who worked for the Russian club as director of sports and development.
Speaking on his new appointment, Ralf Rangnick said: “I am excited to be joining Manchester United and focused on making this a successful season for the club.
“The squad is full of talent and has a great balance of youth and experience. All my efforts for the next six months will be on helping these players fulfil their potential, both individually and, most importantly, as a team.
“Beyond that, I look forward to supporting the club’s longer-term goals on a consultancy basis.”
After Ole Gunnar Solkjaer was relieved of his duties as coach after a 4-1 defeat at Watford, the Red Devils’ had former midfielder Michael Carrick as caretaker manager for two games.
